Bears' Darrynton Evans: Inks deal with Chicago

Evans agreed to a contract with the Bears on Sunday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Evans became a free agent Saturday after terminating his practice squad contract with the Dolphins. With starting running back Khalil Herbert expected to miss multiple weeks with a high ankle sprain, and injuries to Roschon Johnson (concussion) and Travis Homer (hamstring), Evans could get backfield snaps right away in Week 6 against the Vikings on Oct. 15.
