Coach Matt Nagy said Monday that a decision about the availability of Fields (ribs) for Week 14 will be an "ongoing discussion," Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Nagy noted that Fields' ability to play will come down to pain tolerance, per Adam Hoge of NBC Sports Chicago. He also said the Bears "won't put [Fields] at risk medically," perhaps hinting that the team will take a cautious approach with the rookie's recovery. If Fields ends up missing another contest while recovering from fractured ribs, Andy Dalton will be called upon again to head Chicago's offense during Sunday's upcoming divisional matchup against the Packers.
