Fields, who underwent an X-ray on his right (throwing) hand after Sunday's 26-6 loss to the Browns, indicated afterward that he's fine, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com reports.
According to Fields, the X-Ray was precautionary, so the rookie QB's status for next Sunday's game against the Lions does not appear to be in any danger. Assuming that's the case, Fields will be a candidate to make his second straight straight start at QB for the Bears, with Andy Dalton's (knee) Week 4 status cloudy at this stage.
