Coach Matt Nagy has not yet decided whether Fields or Andy Dalton (knee) will start Sunday's road game against the Raiders, Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Nagy repeatedly has said that Dalton will operate as the Bears' starter when healthy, but the situation surrounding the veteran's health remains unclear. On Monday, Nagy said that "the next two days will tell us a lot" in regard to Dalton's health, per Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times, so it sounds like a decision could be made by Wednesday's first official practice of the week. For his part, Fields was mistake free during Sunday's win over the Lions, with 209 passing yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions.
