Fields (hand) isn't guaranteed the starting job for Sunday's game against the Lions, Kimberley A. Martin of ESPN reports.
Fields drew his first career start against the Browns in Week 3, but he completed just six of 20 passes for 68 yards and hurt his hand late in the contest. Although X-rays came back negative following Sunday's game, coach Matt Nagy said Monday that the Bears "are working through" who will start under center Week 4, indicating that all three of the team's quarterbacks are in consideration for the start. Andy Dalton (knee) still is considered week-to-week, while Nick Foles is healthy and in the mix to start if Fields and Dalton are still banged up Sunday.
