Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said that Allen (heel) will not participate in practice Wednesday, Chris Emma of 670TheScore.com reports.

Allen missed all three of Chicago's official practice sessions last week, resulting in him sitting out the Bears' 19-13 loss to the Texans. Eberflus said the team is "trying to get [Allen] back on the grass as soon as we can," but at this point, the veteran wideout may be trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's game versus the Colts. If Allen is forced to miss a second straight game, DeAndre Carter, Tyler Scott and Collin Johnson will once again be candidates to see increased roles behind No. 1 wideout DJ Moore and rookie first-round pick Rome Odunze.
