The Bengals placed Driskel (thumb) on injured reserve Monday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN reports.
While it was reported that his thumb injury will not require surgery, it is still serious enough to land him on the IR. He remains a candidate to be designated for return, but the team is only likely to consider that option if starting quarterback Andy Dalton is forced to miss any time due to injury.
