Hamlin (shoulder) is inactive Sunday against the Patriots.
Hamlin's role has been minimal this season and mostly limited to special teams, so his absence shouldn't have much impact on the defense. Taylor Rapp will be Buffalo's lone backup at safety behind starters, Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer.
