Head coach Sean McDermott said Monday that Smoot (toe) is trending towards not playing in Thursday's game against the Dolphins, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Smoot was unable to suit up for the Bills' Week 1 win over the Cardinals, and it now appears his toe issue could hold him out for the second consecutive game Thursday. If Smoot is unable to go in Week 2, expect Von Miller and Casey Toohill to see increased work as rotational pass rushers.
