Cook isn't practicing Wednesday due to an illness, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Cook was a full participant in Tuesday's walk-through workout, but the running back's absence from Wednesday's session makes his status worth tracking ahead of Saturday's game against the Chargers. The Bills will conduct their final practice of the week Thursday, and if Cook is able to participate in some capacity, it would likely clear up most of the concern about his status for the Week 16 contest. Cook is coming off a career-best performance in the Bills' 31-10 win over the Cowboys this past Sunday, when he carried 25 times for 179 yards and a touchdown to go with two catches for 42 yards and another score on three targets.
