Peterman, who entered Thursday's preseason game after starter Tyrod Taylor and backup T.J. Yates departed, completed 13 of 25 passes for 112 yards, one touchdown and a 77.4 rating.
Although Peterman outperformed No. 2 man Yates, the latter has been the better QB throughout camp, and given his NFL experience, is still the favorite to enter the season as the primary backup. Consequently, Peterman would likely have to notably outdistance Yates in all four exhibitions to even be in the discussion, and it's still unlikely he'd vault over the veteran unless the Bills saw enough to cut Yates altogether.
