McCain was waived by the Giants on Saturday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
McCain signed with the Giants this offseason, but he struggled to make an impact while being restricted almost exclusively to special teams work. Assuming he goes unclaimed on waivers, he'll be free to sign with any team.
