The Dolphins waived Cook on Saturday.
The move makes room on the 53-man roster for Kenneth Grant (toe), who was activated from injured reserve Saturday. Cook will have the opportunity to explore his options if he clears waivers, but he could opt to remain in Miami as a member of the team's practice squad.
