Browner has been released by the Saints, ESPN.com reports.
The move will save the Saints $2.25 million against their 2016 salary cap, while Browner's stint with the team ends after just one season, in which the physical cornerback set a new NFL record for penalties, while notching 76 tackles and a pick in 16 starts for the team in the process.
