Browner was released by the Seahawks on Monday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Early this month, it was reported that Seattle would use Browner as a defensive specialist who could cover bigger receivers and tight ends. However, it appears this plan wasn't worth holding its own roster spot. Considering it didn't work out in Seattle, it would be a bit of surprise if the struggling Browner finds a new home before the season kicks off.
