Maher was waived by the Saints on Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Maher appeared in eight games for New Orleans in 2021 and went 16-for-18 on field goals and 10-for-12 on PATs, but Wil Lutz (abdomen) is set to return after missing the entire campaign. Maher made only 67 percent of his field goals with the Cowboys in 2019, but he could receive some interest on the open market after performing well as an injury replacement for the Saints.
