Sutton (knee) said Tuesday that he feels "close to 100 percent" and is scheduled to play in one of Denver's three preseason games, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Sutton says he wants to play in all three games, while the Broncos plan to limit him to one (presumably brief) appearance. He was a partial participant in spring practices and may now be limited to begin training camp, but the 25-year-old wideout seems confident he'll bounce back from his ACL tear in time to play in an August exhibition. Sutton enters his fourth NFL season as the relative veteran among a talented group of young pass catchers, joined by WRs Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler and Tim Patrick as well as TE Noah Fant. Meanwhile, Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater will compete for the starting QB job.
