Mathis is questionable to return to Sunday's preseason game against the Cardinals due to an ankle injury, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
Mathis was injured on a tackle attempt when multiple players landed on his leg. He was checked out by trainers before being carted off the field. Mathis has been competing against Riley Moss during training camp for the second starting corner job opposite Patrick Surtain.
