Purcell (knee) was placed on the active/non-football injury list Sunday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Purcell played through a knee injury last season and ended up undergoing minor offseason surgery to repair it. However, it appears the 32-year-old is still recovering from the procedure, which also forced him to miss OTAs earlier this spring. He will be eligible to return once he can pass a physical.
