Purcell (thumb) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against Washington, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
This was the expected result after Purcell was unable to practice at all during the week. DeShawn Williams and Shamar Stephen are the likely replacements at nose tackle.
