Browns' Joe Flacco: Not yet locked in for Week 14 start
Head coach Kevin Stefanski said he wants to observe practice throughout the week before deciding between Flacco and Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) as the team's starting quarterback for Sunday's matchup with Jacksonville, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
The starting nod will default to Flacco if Thompson-Robinson doesn't clear the five-step concussion protocol, though the rookie's return to practice Wednesday suggests he's on the right track to do just that. While filling in for Thompson-Robinson in this past Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams, Flacco completed 23 of 44 passes for 254 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, numbers that made him a modest upgrade compared to what Thompson-Robinson and P.J. Walker have provided in starting roles this season.
