Mayfield (right thumb) is cleared to play Sunday at Carolina, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
After missing Tampa Bay's last three games with a dislocated right thumb, Mayfield will return to action against a Carolina team that's 2.5 games ahead of Tampa Bay in the NFC South standings. With wideout Emeka Egbuka (concussion/toe) listed as doubtful, Mayfield will likely look to Chris Godwin, Ted Hurst and Tez Johnson as his top targets at wide receiver.
