Winston completed 17 of 27 passes for 200 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in Saturday's 13-9 preseason loss to the Browns.
Considering he was operating without top target Mike Evans, Winston turned in a solid performance while playing through the first possession of the second half. The third-year signal-caller looks ready for the regular season after putting up a whopping 69 pass attempts through three exhibitions. While Winston didn't throw a touchdown pass this preseason, all reports are that he's taken another step forward this summer, with head coach Dirk Koetter even noting that his young quarterback had completed an additional 10 percent of his passes over last year's camp. After an active preseason, Winston is fully expected to sit for next Thursday's exhibition finale against the Redskins.
