Mitchell (undisclosed) was waived/injured by the Colts on Monday.
The cornerback will revert to the team's injured-reserve list if he clears waivers, at which point he would need to reach an injury settlement with Indianapolis to have a chance to play in 2026. Mitchell appeared in eight regular-season games for the Colts and two for the Browns last season, recording 19 total tackles (14 solo), four pass breakups and a forced fumble.
