The Bills selected Jones in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, 139th overall.

Jones is one of the more intriguing quarterback prospects in this year's crop given his combination of size (6-5, 253 pounds) and immense arm talent. He could have been the third quarterback off the board had he come out after leading Ohio State to the National Championship in 2014, but he returned to Ohio State and was ultimately unseated by J.T Barrett in 2015. Jones will be a project that needs time to develop and adapt to a pro-style offense, but he should be able to sit out and watch with no pressure as a rookie behind Tyrod Taylor.
