Nichols (undisclosed) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the 49ers due to a stinger injury.
Nichols briefly went to the locker room following the injury, but he was spotted back on the sidelines. It remains to be seen whether he will come back into Sunday's game. L.J. Collier would see more work with the first-team defense while Nichols is sidelined.
