Wilkinson (neck) was designated to return from IR on Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Wilkinson has missed the minimum of four weeks and will now have a 21-day window to practice with the team before he'll need to be added to the 53-man roster. However, the 28-year-old can return to play as soon as Sunday against the Steelers.
