Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Practice window opens
The Cardinals announced Wednesday that Murray (knee) has been designated for return from the reserve/PUP list, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
As a result of the transaction, the Cardinals will open up Murray 21-day evaluation window, giving Arizona up to three weeks to monitor the quarterback's health and progress in practice before adding him to the 53-man roster. The 26-year-old is working his way back surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee, and while the Cardinals could activate him as early as this Sunday versus Seattle, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network relays that the team's current plan is to give the quarterback plenty of time to ramp up his activity. Joshua Dobbs will continue to hold down the fort at quarterback until Murray is cleared to make his 2023 debut.
