James recorded eight tackles (five solo), including a sack and an additional tackle for loss, during the Chargers' 20-10 loss to the Steelers on Sunday.

James was also issued a one-game suspension by the NFL on Monday for repeated violations of playing rules intended to protect the health and safety of players, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. The safety's latest such hit came Sunday against Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth. If James loses his appeal of the suspension, the Chargers will lose an impactful defensive player with 21 tackles (15 solo) through three games this season.
