The Chargers signed Uiagalelei from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
With backup quarterback Trey Lance (groin) still nursing a lingering injury, Uiagalelei is set to be the backup quarterback to Justin Herbert for Sunday's game against the Bills. The quarterback is set to suit up for his first game of the 2026 regular season, though he will likely not see any snaps unless Herbert is forced to exit the contest due to injury.
