Jones recorded two catches for 21 yards in the Chargers preseason win over the Cardinals.

The Chargers reacted quickly to the season-ending injury Stevie Johnson (knee) suffered during the first week of training camp, signing Jones to provide depth at the wide receiver position. While the 32-year-old likely won't earn a starting role now that both Keenan Allen and Travis Benjamin appear healthy heading into the season, Jones has developed a bit of chemistry with starting QB Philip Rivers --- enough to warrant a roster spot with the team. The veteran probably won't see the field enough to put up consistent fantasy numbers as it stands now, but he could be a solid fantasy candidate if injuries affect the top of the depth chart.
