Chargers' Justin Herbert: Flops in Baltimore
Herbert completed 22 of 39 passes for 195 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 34-6 loss to the Ravens. He added 12 yards on two rushing attempts.
Herbert started 8-for-17 for 71 yards and an interception through five drives as the Chargers fell behind 17-0, but he came alive with a one-yard touchdown to Jared Cook on the following possession. That momentum was short-lived, however, as Baltimore answered with a third-quarter touchdown, followed by a Herbert incompletion on 4th-and-1 in his own territory that all but decided the result with more than a quarter to play. Considering the second-year signal-caller had previously thrown for at least 300 yards or three-plus touchdowns in every game this season, this dud can be written off as a one-game blip against an elite defense. Expect Herbert to bounce back once Los Angeles comes out of its Week 7 bye.
