Floyd suffered a concussion during Sunday's loss to the Broncos, Tom Krasovic of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
This was an unfortunate reminder of why Floyd decided that Sunday's game would be his last. He's still capable of contributing as a blocker and big-play threat, but his history of head and neck issues was already a major concern. It's unclear what San Diego's receiving corps will look like in 2015, as the only sure thing is that Keenan Allen (kidney) will be the No. 1 wideout. Stevie Johnson (groin) and Dontrelle Inman are also under contract, whereas tight ends Antonio Gates and Ladarius Green can both become unrestricted free agents. The Chargers may search for an external solution to replace Floyd in the No. 2 wideout role, as neither Johnson nor Inman was particularly impressive this season.
