Johnston (chest) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Noah Furtado of The Athletic reports.
Ladd McConkey (foot) has also been cleared to play, while Tre' Harris (hamstring) has been ruled out. Harris seemed to be threatening Johnston for the No. 2 receiver job, but for now it'll likely be Johnston's role.
