Mahomes (undisclosed) avoided a concussion in Sunday's loss to the Titans and is expected to start against the Giants in Week 8, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Mahomes exited the game after being shaken up on a hit that caught him up high, and there was no reason to rush his return with the Chiefs getting blown out. He subsequently cleared the NFL's concussion protocol, so Chiefs fans and his fantasy managers alike can breathe a sigh of relief. His practice reps will likely be capped this week, but Mahomes should be available against the Giants on Monday Night Football with an extra day to heal up.
