The Steelers waived Dowell on Sunday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.
Dowell was claimed off waivers by the Steelers on Friday, lasting just two days with the franchise. The wide receiver clearly did not make a very strong impression with the quarterback room or coaching staff and will once again be subject to waivers.
