The Colts placed Richardson (shoulder) on injured reserve Wednesday.
As a result of the move, Richardson will miss at least the next four games, making the Colts' Week 10 game against the Patriots his earliest potential return date. In the meantime, Gardner Minshew is slated to start at quarterback for the Colts.
