Allen had four receptions for 53 yards on six targets, including a 19-yard touchdown, in Sunday's loss to Detroit. He also added a reception for a two-point conversion.
Allen equaled his high for targets in a game from last season as he's a focal point of the offense with Coby Fleener departing in free agency. While Jack Doyle had two touchdown receptions, Allen should get the vast majority of targets and red zone looks in the offense at tight end. Allen played 49 of 70 snaps on offense while Doyle played 39 snaps. With the Colts likely to play from behind or be in shootouts due to a depleted secondary, Allen should continue to get steady targets in the offense.
