Mallory (thumb) was placed on injured reserve by the Colts on Sunday with a designation to return, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official website reports.
Mallory suffered a thumb injury, and he sat out the team's last two games of the preseason. The tight end will now be forced to miss at least four contests to open the 2026 campaign, and the earliest he'll be able to make his regular-season debut is in Week 5 against the Steelers on Oct. 11.
