Commanders' Austin Ekeler: Gets six touches to Robinson's 15
Ekeler rushed twice for 10 yards and caught all four of his targets for 52 yards in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Buccaneers.
Ekeler got just two rushing attempts compared to 12 for fellow running back Brian Robinson and 16 for quarterback Jayden Daniels, but the versatile veteran made up for the lack of volume on the ground by leading the team in receiving yards. Daniels failed to push the ball down the field effectively, checking down to Ekeler, Robinson (48 receiving yards) and tight end Zach Ertz (28 yards) for the majority of his 184 passing yards. Ekeler's floor is low heading into Week 2 against the Giants with Robinson getting the majority of rushing opportunities in Washington's backfield, but Ekeler's explosiveness could allow him to make the most of his limited touches.
