Ferrell (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's game against the Bengals, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports.
Ferrell popped up on the injury report Thursday with a knee injury. While he was able to practice in a limited capacity Friday, the issue is severe enough that the 2019 first-round pick will be held out for Monday's contest, and his next chance of suiting up will be Week 4 against the Cardinals. Jamin Davis and Javontae Jean-Baptiste are candidates to fill in for Ferrell as the starting defensive end opposite Dorance Armstrong (chest) for Monday's game.
