Payne (back) was a limited participant during practice Wednesday.

Payne will start Week 1 prep as questionable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. The Alabama product has only missed one regular-season game in his six-year career, so the chance of him sitting out Sunday is likely small. However, it'll still be worth monitoring his status for practice Thursday and Friday.
