Forbes (thumb) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

Forbes sustained a thumb injury in the Commanders' Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers. He managed to practice in full Wednesday, but the 2023 first-round pick will undergo surgery Friday to repair a torn UCL in his thumb, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Whether Forbes will suit up for Week 2 against the Giants could be more clear once Friday's injury report is released.
