McNichols is in line to serve as the Commanders' No. 2 running back in Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Cardinals with Austin Ekeler (concussion) inactive for the game.

McNichols logged eight snaps of emergency duty in the Week 3 win over the Bengals on Monday night after Ekeler was forced from the contest. The 2017 fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers has bounced around the NFL over the last seven-plus seasons and has just 91 career carries across 38 regular-season contests, so the threat he represents to lead back Brian Robinson's workload is virtually non-existent. McNichols is a capable pass catcher, however, so he could conceivably have some PPR value in very deep leagues if the Commanders trail in the second half and are forced into frequent passing situations.
