Smith (undisclosed) was placed on IR on Tuesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Smith joined the Commanders on Aug. 13 and it's not quite clear when he suffered the injury. However, the Stanford product may now miss the entirety of the 2023 campaign unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team.
