The Patriots signed McDermott (undisclosed) to the practice squad Tuesday, Mark Daniels of The Providence Journal reports.
McDermott spent time with New England before being let go with an injury settlement. Now that he's healthy, the veteran tackle will get a chance to handle an emergency depth role with a familiar team.
