The 49ers waived/injured Kiner (ankle) on Wednesday, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Kiner suffered a high-ankle sprain during the 49ers' preseason game against the Raiders. Assuming he clears waivers, Kiner will revert to the 49ers' injured reserve, which will force him to miss the entire 2025 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team.
