The Chargers waived Broughton on Tuesday, Gavino Borquez of ChargersWire.com reports.
Broughton appeared in 11 games for the Chargers during his first two seasons in the NFL. He will have to look for a new opportunity in 2021 as Los Angeles elected to keep newcomer Christian Covington as the primary backup to Linval Joseph on their initial 53-man roster.
