Coach Mike McCarthy said Friday that Thompson "will miss some time" due to a hamstring injury, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Thompson was elevated from the practice squad ahead of Thursday's Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers, and he played 26 snaps on special teams. However, he apparently suffered a hamstring injury during the contest. McCarthy didn't offer a timetable for the safety's return, but he should tentatively be considered week-to-week.
