Escobar (Achilles) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Escobar's season will come to a close due to the torn Achilles tendon he suffered in Week 15. James Hanna will serve as the backup tight end behind Jason Witten the rest of the way.
